The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 除了喜欢片中的音乐，共情到那句“They (men) are all shits!”，我真的不能get到性欲和叶子齐飞的70年代，小白男跟坚强熟女扑朔迷离的暧昧故事，水床那些恶趣味梗我感受也不是那么强烈。嘲讽了一系列自我感觉良好的男人：浮夸的好莱坞，虚伪的政客，虚张声势的逐利者，就算是打纯真牌的男主，也要说句“要不是我你还在照相馆”。就都很shit。女主家庭环境窒息，职场被不同男上司性骚扰动手动脚，男人来“教”如何开卡车趁机揩油，下一秒便是女主长距离山路一把倒车。印象最深的是，女主坐在黎明的街头，前面是傻逼，身边是发情疯狗，看到橱窗的竞选海报，以为是一线逃离机会，原来就真的没有选择呀！
太久没看电影了，随机选了PTA的这个，故事线看得我极度不适………

3维动画版小马宝莉，新时代的故事。陆马的城市很明亮，天马的城市好现代，独角兽居然生活的还是村落……依靠心灵的团结，才是真正的魔法。最后彩蛋陆马的马蹄其实也有魔法，很有爱~
優點明顯。首先小馬們都很美。其次表達主題在當今世界很需要從小對小朋友滲透：消除偏見，隔閡，追求相互溝通和理解，要有大愛大胸懷。
导演写给1970年代的情书，只不过写的烂了点；男主如果能更好看、或者至少看上去更灵光点就好了。

PTA带着小侄子乱拍一气，始终还是那么带劲儿！
彗星漫天飞，闻惺识男人，素菜荤吃，荤菜生吃。
PTA许是老了，镜头语言和横向调度自然驾轻就熟，外表看上去也还有点“怪鸡”，内核却已经俗不可耐了，还有套路的情节编排和刻意的符号填充，只能算是“作者式行活儿”。

一开始想说除了女主腿其他都不行，没想到从一半往后越来越上头，舒缓的准确的刻画了一个年代，很重的道理浅浅的表达。
镜头很流畅，我却没能一口气看完。现实中，30岁的我差点和15岁的高中生做朋友。
像是一个美剧的开头然后就戛然而止了，可能是这种美式爱情我get不到
其实这个剧本是真大师手笔 但是pt安德森的水准应该是能让人忘记剧本的 何况这次影像执行还不如昆汀那一厢情怀 职业生涯最低作 处处和伟大的私恋失调对比之下更显得退化 用霍胖儿子很浪漫 但是能不能和伟大的dp艾斯威特和好啊…..
