这片子表面看上去是在反讽“素食主义者”，实际上是用屠夫视角将牲畜“拟人化”，既讽刺了素食主义者的天真幼稚偏执，又讽刺了肉食主义者的冷漠与缺乏同理心，可以说是两者皆黑了。

只有留下了原著的故事，意义内核不免流于表面。虽然原著的影像化必然是困难的，但还是很遗憾，没能呈现文学史上最摄人心魄的那一幕。
