The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 看完特惶恐，理解不了get不到，觉得自己又成了傻波依。从打欲望号快车，裸体午餐开始，这些个男男女女的那点儿事你就不能像日本人学学大大方方的拍个痛快吗，非要整一堆物件儿在里面裹乱，不带家伙儿事就不能ooxx吗？！btw，字幕组白辛苦了，完全不用带字幕看，帮助理解程度加了1%
罗生门式的叙事当时确实跟吸引人，关键是每段故事都能接起来，并且没有大的逻辑漏洞，在网大里面实属难得。所谓的狐仙鬼怪，不过是掩人耳目的借口罢了，升米恩斗米仇，最黑暗的永远都是人心
各方面都有很多不足，但是还是比很多院线片有诚意的多
虽然是小成本小演员小场景，但是网剧中比较精良的了，前后也经得起逻辑推敲。然后还想扣一分给主题的诠释，方向选得很好，人性嘛，但是感觉不够深入，有点浮光掠影的感觉，村民的恶与冷漠，不够深入，不够让人恨得牙痒痒。如果时间再长点，或者这个片子的完成度会更高，总之，给7分。
7+，远了不敢说。疫情起到现在，这片在网大里这也算天花板的存在了。虽然演员火候还是欠点，做不到行云流水信手拈来，但至少努力的在演了。有瑕疵，有隐伤，有硬伤，但是整体完成度不错。切入点到位，主线埋的深讲的透。故事讲的不错。不知道是删减还是未完成，不少无头绳和空悬铃，气氛是到位了，却把逻辑带偏。如果不较真的话，这个团队的诚意 秒杀半数以上国内院线团队。
这世上最恐怖的恐怖片难道不就是人心么？编剧抓住了精髓。。

国内这环境，拍成这水平实在不错了，三星加一星鼓励，希望国产恐怖片能再进一步
打着“狐仙”的旗帜，以《罗生门》的方式来讲故事，将人性的阴暗面说出，谁说内核都是老一套，但故事逻辑通顺，情节也不拖沓，因为预算的缘故，细节上还是差强人意了些，
开头还正常，越往后越迷惑，结尾高潮更是像学生汇报表演，还出现明显的定焦不准越轴的技术问题

挺好了，观感没有大问题。愈发痛恨农村的各种人事，只能说能躲远点就躲远点吧。
从身体恐怖上升至身体艺术和身体政治，柯南伯格的想象力并没有倒退，反而随着急剧变化的环境与时代，演变出更深邃迷人的寓言。在构造严密的未来社会背景下，有着精准运行的叙事脉络，而诡异的人物与其复杂的行为动机具有暗涌流动的政治隐喻意味。处处留白的手法让传统的惊悚恐怖影迷失望而归，却令这个寓言故事瞬间敞开了丰富的解读空间，极端反常却引人入胜。
演员也是在线，每个人嘴里的故事成就每一个不同的演员，就算是村里那些泼妇也是演技满满。
好，难得有这么好的片，剧情紧凑，扣人心弦，前面恐怖后面哲思，没有说会让人想跳过快进，剧情上让你有一种意料之外情理之中的感觉
还是熟悉的柯南伯格配方，异化的人体，异化到生理不适的人体，却欲罢不能！
老话说得好：升米恩斗米仇，穷山恶水出刁民。作为一个网大，拍得算是很ok！
拍的真的还不错诶！！事实证明人比鬼可怕多了
