The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 故事的设定在未来的某个时间段，随手可见的高科技产品，最令人惊叹的是克隆医疗技术，不过克隆人这一设定并不新鲜。影片中最为感触的一幕是克隆人与卡梅隆发生争执，二人又在顶峰相遇共同面向夕阳，除了衣着不同，如同照镜子般，两人的和解也说明了彼此内心的和解。喜欢影片中卡梅隆和杰克的最后一次交谈，导演将镜头偏向卡梅隆，没有继续采用对称镜头，从而暗示了卡梅隆的离世，杰克将正式代替他活下去，导演将无声的告别诠释的十分生动有力。
太太太慢了，看了都想睡觉。奥卡菲娜被骂黑人文化挪用是真的有原因，台词一股Rap味，整个人格格不入。

美术真的是最喜欢的科幻电影类型了。就是你愿意相信它会在短期内实现，而不是离现在过分遥远甚至根本就是胡编乱造的超级脑洞而已。写是写不出来这种画风了。不得不承认，影像创作是文字创作的升级。不过“影像”本就早于文字。
虽然就是一个高概念小品，而且某种程度上还和机械姬很相似，但是几个主演给剧作增色很多。特别是Ali的两个角色，非常有信服力，微表情太牛了，不愧是影帝。
