The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 地铁相亲的桥段真挺不错，稍微遗憾是格局小了，把爱情和事业对立起来，最后强行又逢合上，破坏感情的还是钱，没钱万事哀，男主家人那条线隐藏了，使得不会掉入婆媳冲突的套路，这点可以表扬。

整片无处不在的刻意，编剧或者导演是不是游戏或者超级英雄看多了，你要刻意希娜营造成女疯子还能理解，幸好演员演技在线能招架住；东谷人设真心欣赏不来，盲侠都不敢这样搞，这不是科幻片ok？！一众男配太拉，只有女演稍微擦边点性感，剧情就纯扯蛋，如果不是动作枪战尚可，估计早就弃...

剧情老套，安志杰很帅，看起来很年轻，有那么大的女儿很违和。
星星都给的病娇杀手夫妇 略有浮夸 但整体比较突破中国此类电影刻板形象 比小丑和小丑女的情感描述多一点 但还是看不够吧 其实这个杀手夫妇的点和病娇感个人还是很吃这一套的。个人觉得电影里硬转比较多 感觉在刻意用“猎人小屋里墙上的一把枪”

良心网片了，爽就完事了…一开始没抱多大期望，完全是冲着安志杰去看的，结果发现比战狼都要强！！安志杰呐！不火天理难容啊…
和最爱的人，在跨年夜，或许又会对都市爱情本身，从一个跨年开始，到另一个跨年结束，先离后爱，这一次的故事，更加浪漫而深情，也更现实而残酷，生活里有爱情、有承诺，也有着一年之痒的痛苦，无疑是个充满爱情遗憾的故事，一对拥有真挚感情的情侣面对挑战的故事，对现代爱情的反思中，更多带出的还是爱情中的温暖、希望和感动，现代爱情是时间压缩过的爱情，但也让我们在一起的每分每秒，都更珍贵。

2022年的动作片有这个水准也还可以啦！那个反派女主给加分了！不然这片也就五分多水准吧！
