The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 科恩兄弟单飞了？不光单飞，科恩大哥的构图怎么有点学韦斯安德森了？不管怎么，绝对没有黑泽明大师的版本那么惊艳和张力十足，这个版本有点偏于简陋和仓促。
艺术气息和舞台剧和形式过重 大段大段晦涩飘忽的对白 就很沉闷了。
这版的麦克白夫人被改的很有人性，死因也更加神秘
纽约电影节开幕片，见到了Joel Coen, Denzel Washington, Frances McDormand。坦白说台词几乎一句都没听懂，莎士比亚般的对白实在考验听力，而且这场好晚好晚，开头有点昏昏欲睡。喜欢打光和摄影，结尾的设计。这部真的没有太多“科恩”的感觉。
醉乡民谣的合作摄影
和奥逊·威尔斯那版的《麦克白》相比，故事讲得更丝滑、更工整，但是情感却显得如此的单薄。形式上的美大于一切吧。相较于丹泽尔·华盛顿扮演的麦克白，麦克多蒙德扮演的麦克白夫人更出彩一些。

感觉熟悉麦克白文本的朋友会喜欢（当然没能绕开翻拍莎士比亚现代化文本过程中如何保持不失度的难题）片子自己定位也准确，就完全冲了形式亮点去了，有点现代戏剧版德国表现主义的意思，像是一场3d戏剧的试验录像。
一星给影像，一星给台词，一星给表演，是a24专属电影了。
剧情都知道，看的就是摄影美学，有几幕的光影构图真的绝了。虽然是电影，但更像在看舞台剧，也幸好没去电影院看，这种古英文没有字幕的确很难懂。
不懂就问，莎翁时代英国有黑人吗？黑白演员混合的白人故事就特别别扭。
怎么感觉科恩的《麦克白》不应该直接是麦克白，正如库布里克的《奥德赛》应该是《2001太空漫游》
