In the first of this two-part series, Stephen Fry reflects back on just how much has changed for gay people during his lifetime. He meets Elton John and David Furnish, the couple who inspired Stephen to be open about his sexuality as well as many others. In 1st episode, Stephen travels to Uganda, where the government is considering a new law that would make homosexuality a capital crime - putting gay people to death for their sexuality. Stephen meets the men and women targeted by this proposed law and finds out the impact it is already having on their lives. Stephen also travels to the USA to explore 'reparative therapy', which claims to offer a 'cure' for being gay. Whilst in the states, he looks at how Hollywood deals with the gay issue by talking to Neil Patrick Harris, an openly gay man who continues to land leading roles. The 2nd episode sees Stephen visit Brazil, home to the largest gay pride celebration in the world and a place that has some of the best legislation on the planet for gay equality. But it has come at a price. All of the advances have brought about a violent backlash against gay people; on average, one gay person is murdered every 36 hours in Brazil. Stephen sees how this is impacting on the lives of gay men and women there and also confronts the politician leading the fight against gay rights. Stephen also visits Russia, where gays are now worse off than they have been for a long time. Their rights are being constantly eroded by a conservative government, backed by the disapproval of the Russian Orthodox Church. Stephen then travels to India, where the old British laws that criminalised homosexuality have just been overturned. Modern India is now looking to Hindu traditions as it forges a more positive way forward for its gay citizens, including its once celebrated transgender community.
剧本太差，一点都不抓人。演技再好也拯救不了。
剧情有点老套，不过导演功力不错，情绪调度好。不过说实话无论她是否是凶手，这个故事都一直成立甚至会更有讨论价值，因此后来那个twist有点没必要。
为什么有人可以把委屈和痛苦演绎的这么真实啊，上次看到这种教科书级的演绎还是《海边的曼彻斯特》，让我看看是谁这么厉害，哦原来是我的女神桑德拉！
老师每次让看的电影感觉都是我不会主动去看的类型，前面看得我快得抑郁症了，最后那一段好好哭啊……
三个家庭的亲情，就是警长家哥哥转变的有点快啊
所以家里有枪的要把它锁好，小朋友拿了很危险的。

Sandra Bullock演得不錯，但電影本身就是Netflix流水片水準......
虽然个人对桑德拉布洛克一直有着面容上的抗拒，但她的片子三星起步还是可以保证的。从片头的剪辑开始，情节上的张力基本上就一直没断。但和前半段铺开的人物关系，冲突点相比，这个结尾显然仓促了。片尾说这个原作是剧集，那可能就是原因了。篇幅的压缩估计做了很多取舍。
很多点都是非常突兀的，比如突然薇奥拉就无条件相信了当年的真相，没有任何铺垫，突然警察儿子就被背叛要去复仇，还比如最后妹妹走向姐姐，完全没有描写她的纠结她的忏悔，我总以为会是个黑暗的结尾。全片唯一描写的就是桑德拉那张苦大仇深隐忍的脸。
没人关心受害者及受害者家属，包括旁观者和施暴者。通常地，所有人的视角里没有受害者，没有受害者家属。
原来没有太多期望，故事虽简单但还是很有张力，演员演的也算不错
整部电影，我能看到唯一一个不可饶恕的地方就是，兄弟绿了。4星全是给bullock的。国外海盗网站刚出高清，不到24小时，国内就又资源了，我心想完了，可能不是商业片，白下了。
旧的怨恨难以消解，新的仇恨因此衍生，失去亲人的他选择夺取她亲人的性命来报仇雪恨……谅解两个字看似简单，但要做到却时常并非易事
替妹妹入狱的情节有点狗血了，桑婆的表演很好。
桑德拉布洛克版“我的姐姐”，气质粗粝沉重隐忍，然而太多似乎专为突出她实惨而刻意安排的桥段，令整部影片略显刻意匠气。得一大女主就恨不得每一场戏都用透了，然不管是鱼厂做业，还是木工活儿，都因为缺乏了生活化细节，而显得不真实。因此，女主的困境亦大打折扣。对比卡西阿弗莱克在《海边的曼彻斯特》中的处理，同为蓝领工人 ，除了安排工作场景，还有一场工友聚会戏，人物一下就立住了。回到影片，片中所有的配角都是为了烘托女主而存在，各个都成了工具人。前述因素导致，虽然影片的几个突转都安排得不错，但整体透着“反映生活却远离了生活”的气质，可惜。
成年人替未成年人顶罪，这次美国白左可算是左出了新高度
演技把我征服了，叙事符合逻辑。一个无意的错误，两个家庭的破坏，谁错了？谁在苦？电影有很强的悲悯之情，余味在心。
自愧不如，甘拜下风！
桑德拉·布洛克演的真好啊，光看眼神就把戏演完了，那种情绪在零界点的表演绝了！可惜剧情拉胯，真的刻意和狗血，尤其两兄弟的内容，都不像是这些年的电影。
