The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 优子为什么这么喜欢梨花呢？她热情、大方、漂亮、活泼、性格好，很多点原以为她会生气没耐心，没想到翻个身起来带优子在床上游泳，因为优子想学钢琴，就硬着头皮去求人。一开始有些疑惑，宣传十元演咩酱的妈妈，但两个人从未同框，甚至怀疑这会不会根本就是两条故事线。优子在毕业祭的时候和樱樱不断重合，在歌声中森宫先生落下的眼泪和梨花的背影有够犯规。原来优子被人欺负了也只会傻笑是因为妈妈说过只要笑的话好运就会降临。最后梨花在遗照上笑得灿烂，三位父亲两位母亲在礼堂一起送心爱的女儿出嫁。但是！为什么！冈田健史这么出戏啊！果然我爱的只是黑岩晶。

剧情细节还是和前作一样的不真实、悬浮于现实之上。让人无语的地方挺多，比如都猜到真凶了，还非得先跳支舞；警察办案的思维完全被酒店员工带跑偏，全顾客至上去了，最后对着酒店大门鞠躬也是莫名其妙；片头的探戈也有点长；还有一开场通过无理取闹的客人来证明主角的能力（超不现实啊，也就是订了个标间吧，怎么可能那么折腾）。全体警察卧底都带着耳机 对着袖子说话，有没有搞错？还能再明显点吗？
还不如上一部，这部拍的简直就是嫌钱多没地方花，请来一堆明星充数，要推理没推理，要剧情没剧情，这也能叫电影？
个人觉得比前篇好看，伏笔埋的也不错，结尾稍墨迹
很多年没有好好看过一部日本电影了，上一个喜欢的还是宫崎葵呢，现在长泽雅美了
案情的设计上比第一部还emmm……有点刻意制造每个角色的悬疑点了，可能还是想突出人的“假面”？

为什么觉得幸福的时候也会流泪呢？为什么忍受苦痛的时候也能微笑以对呢？应该是感受到了环绕着自己的那些爱与温柔吧。咩跟来泉妹妹都演得不错，甜圭也还行，十元则稍显用力。
虽然结果是好的，但我还是不能理解为什么养不了还抢别人孩子。
我不李姐.....当时看预告片还是蛮期待的本来.....有点浪费了这么美的服装道具色调，咩穿上婚纱直接美哭。
有三位爸爸两位妈妈的小朋友嘤嘤酱的不完满但幸福的的人生。剧本挺一般的，角色塑造也怪怪的，要不是因为颜值过于能打，石原里美就像个偷孩子的怪阿姨。我咩也是，开始是个被霸凌的小可怜，却因为同学知道她没爸没妈就突然向她伸出橄榄枝…不过，总之都是非常善良的人啦，希望真实的世界就是这样的就好了。不过一大噱头石原里美和咩酱演母女虽然但是并没有同框过啊…骗人！
本来第一部就拍的很一般所以第二部都算不上狗尾续貂了。
咩和田中圭的父女戏有感动到我，整个故事太童话了，但最后结婚真•父权与夫权的交接即视感，一下子连这种童话气氛都冲没了，现如今可是2022 年🆘。
主役都是我喜欢的演员，特别两位分别是我最喜欢的新生代男女演员。但是这个电影呈现出来的效果实在太差了，为了将一整本的剧情塞进这两个小时，后半部分处处存在割裂感。在两条时间线交汇前都没有问题，后面是明显的赶进度，感情没交代，情感没渲染。每一个镜头都在说着，我没时间了。能隐约感受到原作故事的温馨感。咩酱干巴爹，请继续哭下去吧！
比离谱的剧情更离谱的是原著小说还获奖了？？
无内大语，如果不是十元女士和咩过于美丽动人我真的很想摔键盘，好离谱的剧情【冈田健史现在怎么长这样了，不敢辨认，简直山本五十六化】
刻意煽情，效果不佳。甚至让我觉得有点讽刺的是打着爱的旗号做出了欺骗和丢弃等等举动的母亲仍然是优子最爱的妈妈。与其这样用不孕不育和绝症来洗白，还不如就塑造一个真正的渣女，以此来烘托后两个父亲的真心。永野芽郁的哭戏比笑容更自然。十元的形象简直就是失恋巧克力职人的性格加上了校阅女孩的打扮，十元女士你再这样下去演技和形象已经要完全固化毫无新意了。

对“假面”含义的喜爱超过对电影本身的期待。
