The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 只要保证两个人间亲密关系的可看性，成片出来的效果就不会差，即使故事本身已经是老生常谈的同性议题，关于压迫，关于迫害。无论年代是遥远的过去还是立足的现在，这个世界总会有假以正义之名剥夺他人快乐的同胞和被迫逃离故土的年轻面庞。
逻辑有点混乱，很多情节发生的有些莫名，感情内核的驱动还算有力，破案环节几乎是在瞎闹，单纯是磕到了掰弯直男的凄美爱情。
以主人公视角，完全没有预期的案件追踪很有真实惊悚感，最后有点仓促。
那一段我欺骗了所有人，还是很壮士的。
对真相的渴望让他奋不顾身，就算深陷其中也在所不惜。喜欢这样的执着，不管风吹浪打，我自岿然不动，就算粉身碎骨，也要坚持真爱
男二真的好好看，以及真的磕到了这对，但结局太让人难过了😢
还蛮爱的。天哪！只是在想为什么西方国家会这么讨厌同性恋？
『人不能对什么都感到恐惧，尤其是为了自由』。爱情觉醒的甜蜜和铁幕阴影下的巨大恐怖，两者强烈的对比更让人觉得意难平，在观感上弥补了一些故事悬疑情节方面的零碎和寡淡。

刺破黑幕，后面是幽深的渊薮。贯穿两个板块很勉强，可惜。
