The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it?     作为一出电影拍得挺失败的，看简介原本应该表现的是在一个堕胎等同犯罪的年代，女性意外怀孕需要承受的痛苦。但现在给我的感觉女主一点都不可怜，毫不爱惜自己，跟人乱搞不做保护措施。虽然法律可恶，但她的一切都是她自己一手造成的。

    画幅除了时代特征之外对氛围和细节的遮掩也很有表现力，视角始终跟随女主，观众好似她的同学一样参与生活，时长够紧凑节奏够快，事件苦无出路又迫在眉睫，当被设下规条母职大于人的身份之时，怀孕成为了对女性享受sex的惩罚。女主果断的执行力在一层层突破父权对她的围剿，而代价痛楚异常九死一生，中间和后段两场戏如果作为女性视角简直幻痛惊惧出一身冷汗。具有时代意义的是，六十年后的现在，堕胎权在某些地方居然仍属女性需要争取的自身权益。我们应展示鲜血，而不是选择忘记，如片名所示，此事正在发生。

    概念get到了，但处理得未免过于生硬。老老实实拍个家庭片可能还能保证个底盘，现在硬要在开篇走心理惊悚的路子只会让人觉得哪哪都不搭。这个戏唯一值得一提的就是它的疫情背景，但是后半程也写没了，看不到这对中产母女的转变，相比日本同样注重新冠背景聚焦底层生活的《茜色如烧》简直毫无灵气甚至也没有匠气，只能说别再捧杀钟孟宏了谢谢。
