The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 其实也不是女权，Gangubai为的只是卡马提普拉4000个妓女的权利和尊严。
不知是片子拍的潦草，还是本人就是如此行事，剧情极其不合逻辑。沦落红灯区没有想办法出逃？老鸨死后为何不解放妓女们，而是保留妓院形式为前提给妓女们一些权利？危机关键时刻有黑老大撑腰每次都化险为夷，一路爬上区长。这是印度封建社会下的女性解放？无语，演的跟大女主一样，什么玩意儿
她不是圣人，也不是恶魔。为受迫害女性争取到了权益和尊严。

导演功力在。虽然有种量身定做剧本的感觉，但阿丽娅这两年的进步真的肉眼可见，这部跟兰比尔的白夜还有种奇妙的呼应。开头和结尾有点老套硬煽了，但中段惊喜不断。歌舞一般，最好看的竟然是婚礼上的那段。结尾是不是有点唐突，用慢镜抵消故事没讲完的感觉。开头特意提醒了这不是传记片，你说说要是传记片该多好…
不管是愤怒、心痛，还是喜悦，全片感情表达都相当克制；叙事详略得当，几乎没有废镜头。最喜欢女主不卑不亢地要求成为黑手党生意伙伴，而不是直接接济；最不喜这个黑手党老大的形象太理想化。

剧情三分，立意多给一星。其实整个剧中我一直不太喜欢女主好像都是靠着什么”哥哥”，剧中对她吃过的苦没有很深刻的描写仿佛她就是一直有贵人相助运筹帷幄的轻松样子。 但是我永远都要说，不管哪个国家，敢拍敢说就很棒，他们在前进的路上。
So不可能同意“女权不彻底，等于彻底不女权”的
不过女主真是神颜……太好看了。
这片的惊艳在于反差，你印象里那个印度是女性连上厕所，用卫生巾都困难，处处受到传统性别歧视或是性侵威胁的国家，曾经却有一位如此的神女在世。感觉我们还是落后了……
真实的故事一定更曲折。电影还是美化了很多细节。尤其是大事件转折点，电影表现得太过于顺遂了。

女主大有可为，但故事没有吸引力。看了好几周了，补一记。
不管是女主的美貌还是剧情走向还是重点台词都一股爹味的女权电影，但是想想我们连这种都拍不出来，立刻4星。
女人可能软弱，但她决定要强大的时候就无法阻挡。
