The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 9.3/10 本来应是去年为了安抚粉丝无法在大荧幕上与柯南相见而特别上映的一部影片, 最终还是由于疫情再三延后至今年也是唏嘘不已。 至于本片, 本就是两集TV版的合集, 除去预告和回顾, 连片头片尾曲和中间数次开关门的部分都全数保留, 因此单独作为剧场版来评价不太合适也多有困难。 此外作为主线一环, 与前后剧情衔接之紧密导致本片对路人而言观影门槛不算低。 如此一部为了粉丝的粉丝向影片, 也许不以路人的视角评价会更客观。 当然如果是粉丝, 这一章是不可错过且水准在线, 非常值得在大荧幕上重温的经典篇章。
把 SP 联播进剧集里，还以为有其他可期待。

此片在我看来的缺陷，可能就在略显老套的剧情安排，及反派boss的外形设计。
