The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 死亡是一场试炼，“骑士”也不完美。本片是在原著基础上对骑士精神的解构，奇幻不仅是元素也是叙事依托。在英格兰北部的迷雾、幽灵和城堡之间迷惑时，我忽然被高文面对死亡的恐惧连通。逃跑，去拥有可能广阔的人生，或者被某个瞬间的勇气说服自己。凡人，他可以在慷慨、友善和忠诚测试下一败涂地，但依旧拥有诚实面对自己的权力。绿衣骑士：小朋友，愿你珍惜这份诚实。
视觉上太棒了，虽然有奇怪的宗教背景，但是A24太契合我的审美了，怎么高级怎么来。舞台剧般的台词让故事更加神秘，就是特效的绿有时看着太假了
确实是一个形式大于内容、自说自话的影片，但是导演对于兼具舞台感和神话魔幻的画面探索，还是让我对其很有好感。
这个看不懂不知道是我没了解相关知识，还是编剧就是如此讲故事。

摒弃生理刺激

虽然剧情看得不太懂，但那种诡秘阴冷童话般的氛围我还挺喜欢的
仙姑神兽采花岛，天上人间马戏团。
So charming this movie, what a life journey.纵使太多神话隐喻不懂，但洛维从鬼魅浮生就练就了一身艺术风格，令人着迷的时间体格，更别说还加了我最爱的神话原型。不就是一个畏畏缩缩的男人嘛，贪慕荣耀却贪生怕死，畏畏缩缩也不慷慨大方。还有导演关于绿色的说教，color of rot，color of life。直面生活的勇士，需要在壮志赴死的时候抽出生命的绿腰带。
其实寓意倒是不难理解，但为了构图及画面节奏拖得实在难受。尤其很多地方处理得不好感觉就是满满的装逼感而没有共鸣。两颗星勉强看在画面上加到三星
服化道可以。但是讲成了一个终其一生不上道的妈宝男故事……
善举
单论视听，称得上艺术品。故事和风格相比84版大相径庭，对原著的改编也不少，大卫·洛维这种非常A24的艺术片风格，加上晦涩的叙事，对普通观众确实不太友好，3星半。
