The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 被压缩的女性主义内核都市片，充满了后lockdown时期现代女性的烦恼，Zoe真的好适合这种闷闷不乐的角色
一个导演只能拍属于自己那个时代的内容，这个是跳脱不了的。

剧本很扎实~精力都放在放大剧情有限的转折点上~非常solid不玩虚的~
没想到是个纯粹的happy ending，人物有些单薄，后半段赶火车。

1.5.在呈现疫情隔绝时期的重要时代话题上是有所作为的，但是在背后的创作逻辑和思路上依旧是腐朽的，坏人做坏事的思考始终是狭隘的，面对具体暴力情境的反抗也是浅薄、简单与幻想式的，且女主角从前到后的转变也同样是突兀的。抽象的议题思考强制规定了具体人物行为和剧情走向，却未顾及后者的不可信直接破坏了抽象议题的思考。虽然《后窗》和《凶线》在当下时代有着全新的诠释可能性，但似乎内里上的东西从未被重新诠释。
