The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. Only very few moments capture some glimpses of a Gene Kelly musical. Unlike Bruce Lee’s martial arts, actors fail to express themselves truly through body movements or singing, although Spielberg's mise-en-scene nails it, the 2021 version of WSS is far from a good remake. Still love it for speaking up for the minorities.
如果是新锐导演，这篇能够及格，但是史蒂芬斯皮尔伯格拿出这种作品，真的不是该有的水准！而且，过于与时俱进的肤色，更败好感！
就好像…因为一首歌买了一盘CD，然后发现那是整张专辑唯一一首好听的曲子…
歌舞太棒了，布景、摄影也一流，两位主角缺少点魅力。
年度大灾难，是有几场戏的编排不错，比如说舞会，还有抢枪什么的，其他部分简直尬出天际，很多镜头都不知道是在拍爱情片还是同性电影...音乐片真的是退环境了，没有《倒数时刻》《爱乐之城》这种音乐工作作为故事背景的话，一言不合就尬舞的效果可能还不如宝莱坞。斯皮尔伯格的最佳导演提名倒是实至名归，毕竟要不是他的编排，这个片子可能第一场戏就直接降到1星了，如此垃圾的剧本，谁都救不活啊。

不懂一个罗密欧与朱丽叶的故事为什么要拍这么长，虽然是歌舞片但也只有女主哥哥和他女朋友在街上那段好看。
舞蹈设计、光影交错真的绝了，故事有些老套丢失了一些共情感，但也还看得下去

挺好的，视听语言非常出彩，表演和剧本可能稍微差点，其余都不错，斯皮尔伯格重新将观众带回上世纪50年代，艺术指导和服装设计都是非常有年代感，卡明斯基的摄影更是锦上添花。歌舞部分没有想象中的多，恰到好处，整体非常流畅，但确实没有眼前一亮的东西。
美国古惑仔的歌舞片糅合了现今最受人唾弃的爱情主线，但都很失败。几乎人人在说史皮堡高超的调度，可能这是唯一的亮点，展现了黄金时代好莱坞的影子。
新版《西区故事》音乐、摄影、服化道、镜头调度均是顶级水平，保持了斯皮尔伯格的一贯水准。在歌舞与爱情的同时，亦糅合种族议题、少年犯罪等社会关切，无奈却在故事情节和主演演技上翻了跟头。
每一幕都是享受，完美的电影拍摄手法，顶尖的好莱坞水准，来拍摄了一个过时的故事。去享受就好了。
本该交代清楚的文戏我实在没明白多少，该交代的信息量感觉都在舞戏的歌词里，难道都要靠猜吗
东尼和玛利亚的人物关系变化是说不通的，这也太戏剧了，是因为原作是舞台剧的缘故吗……除此之外，可能我个人对歌舞片没什么鉴赏能力，总是出戏……
