The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 和《缉魂》对照着看，影片做了反高潮和去类型化，但并不就意味高级，信息量还是太少了，情节走向既然这么的光明正面，做戏空间就少了。
阿里演技依然稳，只是看完这片子一时我不知道赞不赞同男主选择，我理解死亡是孤独的，一直以来人又何尝不是孤独的呢？可是，自以为的为他人考虑会不会是某种程度上的自私呢？两害选择可能注定没有一个好的结果。

克隆人题材科幻伦理片，关于克隆人和本体共存的问题讨论并不新鲜，本片对问题的探讨也浅尝辄止，最后落脚点在宣传人间温情上。画面和室内装置不错，风格很像前几年的《机械姬》
