The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 制作水准肯定是有的，但是我觉得真的不需要这么多的大范围移动的镜头。有的情节全都是大范围移动的镜头连屏幕内容都看不出来是什么。本来电影就只有24帧，而且我本人对帧率也不算敏感，但是镜头又卡又难受。看三小时的电影不累，但是看这个真的很累。
我平时可以说是催泪片水龙头，但这部电影的红色主题植入确实有些强行煽情。 有两处个人认为有更好的处理方式： 一是雷大爷牺牲，在家乡的民谣中倒在卡车之下已足够催泪，众人赶来送终硬生生将观众泪腺堵断了。让雷大爷孤独地离开，再单独来个七连士兵缅怀雷大爷，把情节推向大高潮，不是更好吗？ 二是结尾，美军领队面对活活冻死在前线的中国士兵行了一个军人的礼，这个时候如果能黑屏放字幕，本可以给观众一个情绪大释放；可偏偏这个时候美军领队很政治正确地说了一句“我们永远无法战胜他们”，真的很画蛇添足。
很有新意的一部悬疑喜剧片，虽说存在一些小问题，但可挖掘的地方也有不少，值得二刷。

123号。比想象的好，有几场戏堪称精彩，人物塑造和演员表演也比之前的主旋律电影中的要好。当然问题依旧不少，最明显的是节奏混乱，有一条不可言说但是我明白为什么不能删掉的支线也很掉节奏。

本来只想三星，多一星给先辈。三个小时讲故事都没讲明白的感觉，剧情流水账得和我朋友圈一样，以为高潮要开始了结果电影结束了。。？？
3小时的战争题材本以为会疲倦，没想到每个小时都有各自的高潮。从第一次美军飞机空袭血炸在眼前开始，整部电影就开始了密集的战争输出：血肉之躯正面对战坦克，前一分钟还谈笑风生的战友下一刻炸死在眼前，冰天雪地里蹦掉了牙的土豆和对面的烤鸡，战火纷飞后破碎的黑白女孩照片。有时候我会觉得伍万里像是代替观众在经历这场不得不打的战争，每当绷不住的崩溃时刻，伍千里的抚慰来的及时又体贴。吴京代表的中国军人给予了极大的真实的安全感，走出影院的一刻，历史和现实的切换有几分恍惚——有些故事不该也不能被忘却。
剧本很用心，看得出成本很小😂😂😂挺有意思的创意突破。
才7.4分！国人对国产要求这么高吗？这有血有肉的国产电影能有多少部？
拉满期待值去看的，失望而归。能否不要急于求成，能否少做营销，能否把钱花在刀刃上。看过电影后居然觉得抗美援朝赢的还挺容易？？？！！！以后陈凯歌要成为避雷神器了。
挺好看的，情节滴水不漏合乎逻辑，最后居然反转了一下，不是悲剧了。这马夫脑子挺好使的，还知道利用法国医生碎尸案来圆自己的故事
借用导演的一句话：电影上映后就应该放手了，最后一环的创作交给观众。大家如果能感受到我想表达的其实是一种心照不宣，如果感受不到，解释也用处不大。
字幕不分的得地，扣一星。喻恩泰怎么又演碎嘴小男人…
太平洋战争那部剧里，陆战一师的士兵们不理解为什么日本人要来排队进攻。九年后，陆战一师的新兵走了日本人的老路。三个小时冗长的剧情与战斗，晃来晃去的战斗镜头，假的不行的cg，堪称是折磨了。
感谢革命先烈，是他们的付出和牺牲才有了我们今天的幸福生活。这部电影完成度还是很高的，穿插着万里的成长线，兄弟俩的感情线，所有人的战友情，战争的惨烈，和志愿军的坚定信念，美军感恩节的大鱼大肉和我们志愿军的冻土豆，形成特别鲜明的对比，三个小时的时长每一分钟都精彩万分，我看的超前点映场，中途无一人离席，还有时不时的抽泣声，我自己都被几个画面感动哭，各位演员的演技都可圈可点，是我今年看过的最好的电影。
最后的反转挺有意思，悬疑片到了爱情片。但是调度有点问题啊，尤其是对话的正反打有些单调。不过“文艺工作者”的内心OS还是很可乐的哈哈哈
