The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Paul并没有准备好牺牲自己。其实很想看看Paul怎么从刚开始的pro Hitler到后期加入secret opposition的过程。
Jeremy Irons很棒；一首德文jazz 一首片尾曲都很棒；有种追忆似水年华的味道。
影片想要达到的年轻意气被消解的无助迷茫氛围做得并不太好，只能算比较平庸的片子，只有几位主演的美貌较为突出

二战前夕的惶恐和一战留下来的创伤奠定了这部片子平稳、克制、压抑的叙事基调，无助与希望两股力量在那个年代每一个人心中不停对立冲撞。几乎没有太过戏剧化的高潮，但依旧精彩得让人目不转睛。把原著以惊悚谍战为主的心理戏完美呈现了出来，主演们的演技是此片得以成功的精髓。
张伯伦，英国的补锅匠，只是最后这口锅还是漏了。

看不懂，历史片？
现在电影质量都一般了，这个还让我找回了点感觉
把我想多给的私心⭐抵掉了……
我们不能选择身处的时代，唯一能选择的就是如何去应对。。。
作为历史上的事情，又多了一点的了解，慕尼黑协定的签订，为后来二战中能够击败德国做出了一点贡献，这是值得大家去了解的，至于张伯伦签订的协议也是无奈之举，当时的德国确实太强大了，我们能够看到以前的故事也是非常的不错了。
当所有人都能闻到战争时，它是不可避免的。能把平淡的故事拍成怀疑和恐惧的困局，历史是已揭秘的悬疑吧。Paul容易理想化狂热，Hugh is just Like A Puppy. 间谍活动约等于余情未了前任见面，打字员姐姐逐渐理解了一切。

电影感其实蛮弱的。抛下了很多战争引发的年轻人的思索和选择。
元首说为了争取生存空间。英国人让人有距离感。两个年轻人人突然变成了能扭转世界的最重要人物，叙事的手法很像《人类群星闪耀时》，但是重要的人物还是张伯伦，他的意思是面对混蛋我也只能陪他玩，然后在全世界面前出丑，其实是在妥协。最后男主回到家跟久违了老婆是要去参军，好残忍，但是那也是他对这乱世的回应方法，就像保罗没能出手杀希特勒一样真实，人在某个时候的全部情绪堆积而成的选择，真实而不容细想。
