The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 无法理解为什么有人说假，人家又没用科幻片宣传自己，更没说过自己是硬科幻片，是西虹市开心麻花这几个字还不够跟喜剧沾边吗？是沈腾马丽开心麻花演员们在国内喜剧圈还没有立足脚跟吗？
喜剧不好笑，科幻不硬核，闹剧一场还要上拯救人类的价值，全程尬出星际的那种烂…
音乐特效画面都一流。故事弱，英雄主义没有流浪地球有说服力和感染力。导演能力一般，独角戏和群像戏拍的都挺干瘪的。煽情过多，节奏也差。包袱和梗没啥意思。沈腾演技没的说，就是胖的有点油了，显得舔狗舔的有点猥琐了，马丽演技单一，hold不住冷面心热的女上司。群像里除了致敬流浪地球的兄妹，一个有台词的女角色都没有。呵呵。让我真心发笑的点只有给袋鼠配音那一处，剩下都不是真的好笑。
“你不是人”这是感觉唯一好笑的地方，商业化太浓厚，有点《楚门的世界》，最后非得来个拯救地球大主题，沈腾没人搭戏好尴尬，马丽全程冷着脸。
没想到在开心麻花看了一个BE美学。前面科幻喜剧部分都挺好的，最后为了煽情强行让男主牺牲不太理解。配乐挺满的，几首英文歌是点睛之笔。BTW，袋鼠和货拉拉是最大赢家。

2.中国科幻
好可爱 但是麻烦真的不要再搞什么功夫了 能不能新潮点 别老整些俗腔滥调点
看完想去再刷一遍《火星救援》小说，甚至感觉这部电影的喜剧效果还没有后者强。主创实在有点弄巧成拙，从宣发到预告片都透露一种纯喜剧的风格，但整部电影的搞笑水平真的很低，后半段又弄成科幻煽情类型，但好说不说科幻元素也十分勉强，以及一直延续到最后的牺牲戏码，实在是太尬了，这种突然出现危机然后主角牺牲自我保全大家的套路，实在很无聊。并不是说喜剧不能煽情，在大主题前面还是开心麻花的风格，可无处不在的致敬元素和浮夸风格让科幻情节变得很小儿科，并未感觉紧张和大无畏的感动，还不如拍成纯喜剧，观感或许会更好
或许我的笑点有些高了吧，让我笑出声的唯一一处就是电影开场的短短几分钟，之后就是非常平静地看完了全程，谐音梗，莫名其妙的包袱，没有必要的地球指挥部，看一半就能猜出的结局煽情，莫名其妙的感情线就像袋鼠一样生硬的让我尴尬发麻，哎，现在想看一部纯粹的喜剧好难

这部相比另外几部要差的多，比神偷奶爸系列小格鲁并不出彩之处，对比系列第一部小黄人的占比又不多，剧情更不用说第一秒就猜透全片
无聊的笑点，傻逼的剧情，平均五分钟低头看一次时间。。要不是朋友想看我早他妈的提前离场了。^_^
PS.虽然是喜剧，但较之前段，我更喜欢后半部分的“回家”（前段我也笑的蛮开心的）。表扬一下金曲的使用，尤其是Country road的改编和酷玩A head full of dream。
真的狠狠戳到我的浪漫细菌。“就让我乘着风，变成落叶，变成流星，坠入你的心中。”countyroad，我也好喜欢这个意向，心之所向是吾乡，你就是我的故乡。独孤月，马蓝星。月亮是地球的卫星，他真的好爱她😭😭😭
三星吧 无功无过。建议以后喜剧片想煽情插点搞笑片段，不然前半程全搞笑后半段全煽情，不符合人类悲欢过渡期。。
耳朵自动识别中文片头曲的感觉好奇妙。在场所有笑声都是家长的，小孩子大概会觉得无聊吧。要不是看到Essex Live说Odeon禁止teens in suits入场观影，应该是完全提不起兴致的。看完之后倒也还好，小黄人一如既往的可爱，小小黄人超级可爱。装可怜永远是最好用的沟通技巧。
