The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 虽然名为《电影之神》，实际上着力点放在了亲情爱情友情上，对电影的自我指涉反而沦为了配角。年代戏比现代戏拍得好
只为坚守职业操守。
但总体影片氛围营造算是成功，并且主演奥利弗·马苏奇演技十分在线，把一个精神肉体被囚禁的状态成功表现出来，撑起了整个故事。
原著中没有妻子这个人物设定，茨威格身为犹太人，一生饱尝精神迫害和流离失所。
年轻的观影者们似乎忘记了电影里的主角是近80岁的人，他们的真实世界观价值观就是那样，人人都有自己的性格缺陷，也被其主宰着自己的命运，过着悲欣交集的人生啊，而且，他们有真正热爱一生的人与事，这是多么难得的。

作为一个曾经逃离过又回来继续打工的影视民工，真的有被狠狠感动到。电影不是生活的全部，但电影不会走，留在荧幕上的那些人和那些时刻永远都会在。
最后一幕泪崩！当你专注地看着你热爱的方向，就会看到神的身影，招手让你远离悬崖。

学会了，还能这样玩紫玫瑰！/真是个美好的故事哭……可我不爱麻将不会赌马，老了要干什么来逃避
美好往往存在于回忆之中是有原因的，我无法接受年轻时一个十分优秀有天赋的人，老了却成为一个无赖、酗酒赌博、欠债让妻女来还。这部电影用两个小时的时间，成功让苏打刚在我心中建立起没多久的形象就此幻灭了。
我没办法把菅田将晖饰演的年轻版阿乡和老了以后的阿乡联系起来，在我心中，他从来都跟“风流成性”没有半点关系。所以最后的结局恕我直言，我不能接受。
神明存在于电影的每一帧之间，也存在于每一个热爱电影的人心中。
一封写给电影和电影院的情书吧，不过作为这么有资历的导演，拍得也只是中规中矩，更像是为了书写而书写，为了让更多人去怀念电影院而拍。
