During the US Civil War, Union POWs escape in a balloon and end up stranded on a South Pacific island, inhabited by giant plants and animals. In 1865, during the siege of Richmond, Virginia, the union soldiers POW Captain Harding, Neb and Herbert escape in a balloon during a storm with two confederate prisoners, Sergeant Pencroft and the journalist Spilett. The uncontrollable wind takes the balloon to a mysterious island in the South Pacific in the area of New Zealand. Captain Harding self-proclaims the leader of the group and they look for food; sooner they discover that they are stranded in an island. Further, they are attacked by a giant crab that becomes their first meal. Along the days, they build a shelter and finds that the island is inhabited by giant animals. A couple of days later, they find two castaways on the beach, the aristocratic Lady Mary Fairchild and her sexy niece Elena. Later they find a trunk with weapons and instruments like sextant and shelter with a journal of a man left alone in the island by pirates. When the pirate vessel arrives in the island, they are helped by Captain Nemo of the Nautilus, a submarine that had supposedly sunk in the coast of Mexico eight years ago. 出乎意料的好看，从《鮀恋》到《我妈》，同样的创作母题，十年过去，展现出潮语电影全方位的进步。
男主的妈妈真是典型的潮汕女人，既要做家务照顾老人小孩，还要挣钱攒钱给儿子娶媳妇，最重要的年头拜到年尾
寸头、电梯里的衣架的隐喻都不错，母亲背负了来自传统的多大包袱
这部电影很好，但我没能力评价它好在哪里，因为剧情太和我共情了，我技术上没有办法区分「共情」和「电影本身的好坏」。。
潮汕家庭的恶臭溢出屏幕了，但里面的素人演员都太过可爱，整容脸儿媳的形象虽然刻板，但在片子的氛围里也没那么讨厌，还不错。
虽然很平凡的故事，但是看得又笑又哭，转头一看，我妈也看得又笑又哭。我大潮汕人看起来真的好亲切，很多俚语俗语，真的要会讲潮汕话才更加好像有。

闽乡情。渔港湿热的海风、甜糯绕口的闽南话、咸香生猛的潮汕生腌、家长里短的闲言碎语，还有厝头妈妈爸爸的碎碎念，当这些组合在一起，故事、情节、电影技巧什么的就不那么重要了，这就变成了从影像中抽出的私人的、生活的、怀旧的一丝丝乡愁，暖人心脾。
大型潮汕宣传片？其实也不像，倒是反映出潮汕人的可爱。
拍寺庙，广东人一般很忌讳。
比上一部好很多，当地的习俗什么的都很好，而且这潮汕话不看字幕的话，最多听懂五成
真实的细节使得观片过程轻松愉快，演员都没有什么名气，但贵在生动自然

好好看，好真实，在深圳的打工人看哭了至少3次。
估计外地人看了大呼想逃的程度？那个姑娘大概是太缺爱，要不然自己独美倒也自在。妈妈的形象其实还是蛮立体的，能干，强硬，比较封闭，但也愿意为了孩子努力改变。
拒绝的时候，女人的人设立住了。
妈妈的素人演员实在是强，能在上面看到自己妈妈的影子。
最后的手机拍摄镜头有点拖沓，不然我真的想冲动打五星。没有特别大的矛盾和狗血的剧情，滤镜和主角的选角我适应了好一会儿，因为有点过去帅和美了不符合现实哈哈哈哈哈。一家人都很棒很自然，每个人都有性格，塑造的很好很丰满。男主过于帅了，但长相也确实很有地域特色。女主也不错。尤其最后的回忆杀用另一个视角让女主的形象更丰满了。肯定有人觉得飙方言和地域问题像是某种套路，但我觉得不违和，而且婆媳冲突也正来源于此。能够认真讲一个普通的故事，让人能够看下去，我觉得就挺好。尤其男女主分手时候的哭戏，俩人一哭，我真的泪也出来了，演的太好了呜呜呜。就为这里真的想打五星了（没必要没必要别激动别激动
