The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 《呼朋引伴》一直弥漫着温柔而又沉郁的气质，仿佛有堵无形的“第四面墙”，逼迫观众在树起的镜像中展开自我对话。电影文本挖掘出的问题引人深思，只是一番冥想之后得出的还是不够完美甚至无奈又无解的答案。

好舒服好温柔的一个片子，在城市间穿梭，收录着沙滩列车行人的声音，大人小孩情感的交流和接纳，一起呼喊i'm not fine. 中间穿插着所有的关于未来关于现在关于超能力的采访都充满了亲和力和想象力。
就非常温柔，看似不经意插入的纪录片取材片段的「无剧本感」很巧妙，当孩子们谈论他们的感受，关于未来，孤独，愤怒，以及他们眼中的世界
