Whenever I see La Paura I think of it as a companion piece to Eyes Wide Shut, or maybe it is the other way around. Adultery makes both films tick but in different ways. I think Phillip French was right on the money when he pointed out a Wizard of Oz thing in Kubrick's last work. Like Dorothy, Tom and Nicole go through fantasies and nightmares and at the end Dorothy's reassuring childish motto "there's no place like home" is ironically updated to the adult circumstantial adage "there's no sex like marital sex". Kubrick's take is intellectual, he never leaves the world of ideas to touch the ground. He taunts the audience first with an erotic movie and then with a thriller and refuses to deliver either of them. He was married to his third wife for 40 years, until he died. Rossellini was still married to Ingrid Bergman when he directed La Paura; they had been adulterous lovers and their infidelity widely criticized La Paura is a tale, a noirish one. The noir intrigue is solved and the tale has a happy ending. The city is noir; the country is tale, the territory where childhood is possible. The transition is operated in the most regular way: by car, a long-held shot taken from the front of the car as it rides into the road, as if we were entering a different dimension. Irene (Bergman) starts the movie: we just see a dark city landscape but her voice-over narration tells us of her angst and informs us that the story is a flashback, hers. Bergman's been cheating on her husband. At first guilt is just psychological torture but soon expands into economic blackmail and then grows into something else. From beginning to end the movie focuses on what Bergman feels, every other character is there to make her feel something. Only when the director gives away the plot before the main character can find out does he want us to feel something Bergman still can't. When she finds out, we have already experienced the warped mechanics of the situation and we may focus once again on the emotional impact it has on Bergman's Irene. In La Paura treasons are not imagined but real, nightmares are deliberate and the couple's venom suppurates in bitter ways. Needless to say, Ingrid has another of her rough rides in the movies but Rossellini doesn't dare put her away as he did in Europa 51, nor does he abandon her to the inscrutable impassivity of nature (Stromboli). His gift is less transcendent and fragile than the conclusion of Viaggio in Italia. He just gives his wife as much of a fairy tale ending as a real woman can have, a human landscape where she can finally feel at home. Back to the country, a half lit interior scene where shadows suggest the comfort of sleep. After all, it's the "fairy godmother" who speaks the last words in the movie.

不知道你们有没有发现，湾湾的片子之前大陆没资源的时候，人家好评如潮，一旦大陆上了资源，口碑猛跌，是因为大陆人欣赏水平高？还是只是单纯的难伺候？

致那微博中的火爆与讨论
近年華語恐怖片音效設計的標竿，攝影很值得討論，在偽紀錄片框架下的攝影鏡頭相當有創意，有很多視覺錯亂的效果。排除劇情，這部會很滿足恐怖片愛好者精神慾望
去掉那个迷惑行为的结局这部电影本来可以更好的，可惜了。前半段护理中心白天各位老人在大厅其乐融融晚上回到房间自在惬意，刚想感叹现实里的护理院病人之间的关系其实疏离又脆弱，画风一转，新冠来了。并非各大医院priority的老年护理中心如同夜海独舟，整个护理中心只剩下女主一人撑着，求助无门每一天都太难了，但幸好，护理院还有一位病人可以帮助她。护工这份工作若不是强大柔软并存的内心是坚持不下去的，但电影里sarah用她柔软的语气对父亲自信地说“i’m good at it”。无需煽情片段扎堆堆砌，日常平淡的每一天，人与人用心相处的每个瞬间就很打动人。judy一直这样潜心发力下去不得了呀，看好她。
1.将《午夜凶铃》《咒怨》“看过必死”的心理恐怖/催眠套路嫁接在在东亚邪教、巫术和神秘仪式上，辅佐互动手段+POV伪纪录片形式，完成了《灵媒》没有做到的观众在认知层面的恐怖植入；2. 看似是伪纪录片，但其实“纪录”并不存在，DV拍摄只是一种制造混乱和编造未知的手段，被暗藏起来的精细的调度和剪辑设计，以及“录像带”这个传统恐怖媒介的使用，都在一定程度上解决了摄影机介入的问题，让观众无法分心；3.诅咒-祝福的二分法与反转没有奏效，但双线叙事抽丝剥茧、直到让我们在最后看到“绝对不能看的画面”的麦格芬显然更经典更刺激，这个节奏柯孟融拽得稳稳的：华语恐怖片终于野了一把，它揭开了佛像上的红布，让我们直面所有“不可看”的东西——我们没救了，所以我们更爽。
3.5 节奏比较失控，所以恐怖桥段显得很零散琐碎；镜头视角的问题我倒觉得勉强能接受。反而细节和美术很棒，也是这个片最“真实”以至于显得“晦气”的原因之一。

看一半怀疑是那个，就也没再看下去，去B站找了视频了解了一下后续剧情，果然就是那个！最大的梗就是那个！要问推荐还是不推荐，我不推荐大家看了，好奇可以等B站了

虽然我很少看恐怖片，但是这部观感真的相当不错。（要是把我吓尿那可能就没有这么高的评价了）
看到一半就觉得这实在太克了，不可名状的上古邪神；接近真神后陷入癫狂自毁的状态；而最后的镜头简直克总发糖。很惊喜，虽然小说领域不乏优秀作品，但作为电影把亚州民俗文化和克系恐怖结合起来这应该是第一次……吧？
就是感觉去西双版纳不用隔离真的不错TAT 海清老师考虑去演一下恐怖片吧。
平凡的人，做着伟大的事。小成本式的拍摄手法，却最有力量。

伪纪录片本来就是恐怖片的最佳拍摄方式 【咒】这种形式真的让人头皮发麻心里不舒服 但这就是导演编剧的厉害之处啊 也是这电影独树一帜的特别之处啊。如果你是因为最后给你下咒觉得人家晦气就打低分——我看着这电影一夜之间从7.7分掉落到6.9 使用豆瓣这么些年以来第一次看到这样的场景 觉得你们好幼稚。就像大家一直吐槽像十几年前的QQ空间不转发就怎样怎样的 那时候你们信吗？因为这些原因把一个好电影埋没了实在是有点可惜。
自以为聪明的设定，但其实很low！我再补充一下，晦气是骂得最轻的。剪辑烂，融梗，时间线乱，演员演技差，晃得头晕的镜头，明知自己身边的人都死了，明知诅咒的存在，还是自私的要孩子待在身边以及非要拍DV，以及不断害死真正想帮她的人，这狗屁不通的逻辑。大家怎么不骂贞子，不骂厉鬼将映，就唯独骂这个？你们还夸，就算没有最后的诅咒观众，也是低分烂片！
