The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 虽然是陪孩子去看的，但其实孩子是陪我去圆梦的。小时候太喜欢童话大王了!
童年经典还是留在记忆里比较美好，它就留在上世纪那个点看着我们前行就好了。何必拉出来赶鸭子上架，拙劣的鞭尸……
没看过这本，之前倒是看了魔方大厦，还没看完。
值得鼓励。勉强给个四星。一年也给不了十部电影。
挺有趣的，特别童真，特别单纯。小朋友演员的表现都挺好，似乎他们的快乐能蔓延出银幕传递给影厅的观众。好的儿童电影永远是老少皆宜，我觉得这部做到了。如果成人和小朋友能对同一个桥段做出不同的解读，那是真能说明这个故事的精妙和创作者的用心。
93.电影院的小朋友太激动了，连叫好的都有，情怀值四星，特效有点五毛钱，豆瓣7.1，可见一斑。
希望孩子们也能和他们的爸妈一样喜欢老郑 看到希望你能永远开心的时候感动哭了 这真是最真挚的愿望了
小时候看过郑渊洁的十二生肖童话故事系列中的若干部，虽未曾等到所看书籍的影版，但也惊喜的遇到了电影《皮皮鲁与鲁鲁西之罐头小人》。影片的整体水平中等居上，聚焦于小孩的群戏，让已不再年轻的大人们，得以顾盼到往昔的岁月，与逝去的童年惊喜重逢。

2.郑渊洁的童话总是为小孩发声，我喜欢。
最大的败笔在于演员，个个呆板，表演程式化，让人不断质疑选角背后颇有私心。其中以皮皮鲁为甚，原本一个活波大胆的孩子，在片中成了一个傻冒式的人物。只要换一批好演员，这部电影甚至有成为经典的可能，如果特技再能上N个档次，以及导演的水平还能再提高一下。
电影本身有还原的地方，也有乱加一些奇奇怪怪的东西。李小曼那个反派加的真是奇怪。总体有一种又尬又好笑的感觉。对于我这种泪点低的人还是有点感动的，一个儿童电影应该算是及格了吧。

就算是改编的电影，也能感受到当时小说里的温馨
虽然没有看过原著，但觉得电影很不错，我的童心与智商都得到了尊重。小演员表演相当惊艳，在众多绿幕合成的演出中游刃有余。就是皮皮鲁稍磕碜了点233
总体感觉有点低龄幼稚，有些地方看得尬以及速度慢甚至想快进
不理解为什么那么多人都觉得不好看，我觉得挺好的，唯一想吐槽的就是李小曼为什么这么像偶像剧里的恶毒女配？(⍥(⍥(⍥(⍥(⍥;;)
最讽刺的是小女孩最后义正严辞说的那些大道理，这是郑渊洁作品里人物说的话吗？？？
老郑的作品当下要影视化必然要削弱几分尖锐，但这些尖锐恰恰是原著里最抓人心的部分。我理解主创们剥去老郑对成人的那些戾气和近妖魔化，但转而将书里的不体面转移到小孩身上相当不高明，想明白这一点后那段考场高光就没任何热血可言。结尾大人们的纷纷转变生硬得像掐点直奔主题，也像是为前面对孩子的冒犯进行补救。
还行，导演能请的起田雨啊... 好家伙一部电影看到了好几个电影的影子...
