The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 剧情比较简单无脑，但是打戏都挺精彩的，算是合格的网剧。
简单无脑，可圈可点。有些地方很认真，有些地方却太草率。剧情除了实际上的可操控性上来说，并无大的硬伤。中规中矩的一部作品。

比较有趣的是，导演有意或无意间的叙事节奏（一味推进，毫无细节），还真蛮符合东北人的说话风格，直来直去，很少拐弯抹角。
